How beautiful ... it's really not your typical smoking portrait.
There is something so intimate about this - from the closeness of the composition to the rich brown tones. For me the portrait is slightly uneven, only because his head is noticeably larger than hers but I can see that is due to their positioning. I wish there would be more balance between them, but at the same time I quite like it.
I really can't wait to see more from these two.

I agree. I do wish the composition were more even. But I think the way the smoke appeared in this one won me over. :P

Yes, let's bring back the commenting!! I like this picture. I think his expression is great, so soft and warm, it brings you peace. It may sound exaggerated but it does make you feel that way. That expression along with the brown tones and the smoke is great. The only thing that bothers me are her glasses... Not that they ruin the picture or anything but I'd have loved to see her eyes.

The guy in this picture reminds me of the male model in Pablo Picasso's "La Vie" I'm not really sure why though.

Anyway-the quality of light in this photograph is beautiful!

All around wonderful.
