HP5 400 film, I believe.
Developed in Rodinal and printed on Berger.

Kind of wishing I had used a different sized negative carrier... not as crazy about the thicker border anymore, but oh well.

I love the monotones and the contrast. The expression is blank and really matches the vibe of the piece. Keep up the awesome work! :D

This is ... amazing. :faint:
An image like this just goes to show while black and white will never make it digitally. Absolutely beautiful portrait - and contrary to your opinion, I find the border surprisingly works! Wonderful composition, and her pose is so enchanting.

I think it looks amazing, like it is.
I adore the way she tilts her head and the flower on her hand is a very nice detail.

How did you go about getting that rounded border in the darkroom?

Use a negative carrier that is larger than the size of the picture.

If you are not so crazy about the border any more...scan the print and crop off the border.

your works are still gorgeous. Well done in catching both eyes in a different light. I enjoy the different faces she gives in each.

Grittiness of her expression in her eyes and the texture of her jersey contrasts unexpectedly with the little flowers. rather endearing.

I like the way she tilts her head, holding onto the stalks of flowers.

You capture this well with the the background blurred.
