Artist's Comments

I was mowing the lawn yesterday and came upon this lost baby Sparrow. His name is Jack and he was the perfect model today.

Taken with my new d700

Wow, I wouldn't have thought it was real if you didn't say so. Where's your release form for Jack, Antonio? ;). Though I don't think he would've minded nesting in a pretty girl's hair for a photo.

You should've actually tried making a crazy looking nest in her hair for little Jack to model in.

You've got the answer, but it lasts
as long as you can smile, and pretty
soon your cheeks will begin to hurt.

Jack... Sparrow. XD I found a hermit crab once and named it Davey Jones.

Wonderful shot! The colors are nice, too, sort of vintage.

Its a lovely photo, but sadly many birds will reject their young if something else (like a human) as touched them. Its all a matter of scent. I'd keep an eye on the baby and make sure his mom still cares for him.

Very lovely shot. Though I have to ask, did the mother take its baby back? If not you should get some help for the poor little guy.

Love the artist for their art. Not their fan art.

Actually, it depends on what kind of sparrow it is. Many sparrows don't have a sense of smell.
